Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. was founded at The University of Iowa by 5 women. Their goal was to find a means to unify and empower women of all cultures. The "Oh So Fly" Xi Chapter at The University of Texas is just one out of over 100 entities. It was established on August 5, 1995, becoming the first Sigma Lambda Gamma chapter in the state of Texas and the First Latino/a based Greek organization at the university.
